This page says what happens to your information when you ask about staying at Palmetto Bay Getaway. It describes what the site actually does, not what it might do.

What we collect

When you send a request from this site we collect what you type into the form: your name, your email address, your phone number (we use it to reach you about your dates and, if you stay, its last four digits open your stay guide), the dates and the number of guests, and anything you write in the message. We also record the internet address (IP) your request came from, which is how the site limits how many requests one person can send in an hour.

If the owner confirms your stay, we also ask for the full name of everyone who will stay overnight, yourself included. You enter the names of everyone staying by the time you make your final payment, and you can change them until check-in. If you ask us to add or change a name, we keep that request and a record of the change with your stay. We keep them because the Village of Palmetto Bay's vacation rental rules require a register of the names and dates of stay of all guests, and we use them for nothing else.

We collect nothing else. There are no cookies on these pages, no advertising, no tracking across other websites, and no profile of you anywhere.

What we do with it

We read your request and reply to you directly. Two messages are sent when a request arrives: one to you, confirming we have it, and one to the owner with what you wrote. If the owner confirms your dates, we use the same details to arrange your stay.

Who else sees it

• Cloudflare hosts this site and stores its database. Your request is held there.
• Resend sends the messages. Your email address and the contents of those messages pass through it.
• Cloudflare Email Routing forwards mail sent to our address on to Gmail, so Google holds a copy of anything you email us.
• When payments begin, a payment provider will take the payment on its own secure page. We never see or store card details.
• The Village of Palmetto Bay may inspect the guest register (the names and the dates of each stay), because its vacation rental rules require us to keep it open to inspection.

Nobody else. Your details are not sold, shared or used for marketing by anyone.

How long we keep it

• A request that is declined, or that is never answered and whose dates have passed, is deleted ninety (90) days after you sent it. Your email address is kept after that, with the dates of your first and last request; everything else about the request goes.
• A request the owner confirms becomes a booking, and is kept as part of the record of that stay.
• The names on the guest register are kept with the record of that stay, for as long as we keep that record.
• We keep a log of when requests arrive that records the internet address and the number of guests, but never your name, your email address or your message.

Asking to be forgotten

Write to dominic@palmettobaygetaway.com and ask. Your email address is removed, along with every request of yours that is not a confirmed booking. If you have stayed with us, records of that stay are kept as part of our business records.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without following you anywhere else.

Changes

If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
